The problem

Every client and renewal means reading dense insurer wordings and schedules to see what is really covered, then producing the demands-and-needs statement, the client summary and the renewal report. Your broking platform stores the policy data, but it does not read the wordings or write a word of the client-facing documents.

What it does

  • Reads the insurer wordings and schedules and compares cover clause by clause, with limits, excesses and exclusions flagged
  • Drafts the demands-and-needs statement and a plain-English client summary, to the Consumer Duty standard
  • Flags where a renewal invite quietly cuts cover against the expiring policy
  • Traces every figure back to the exact clause, so the file stands up to scrutiny
  • Keeps a review-and-sign trail, so a named broker stays accountable

What it runs on

  • The insurer wordings, schedules and renewal invites
  • Your document templates and house style
  • Sits alongside your broking platform. UK-hosted, personal data redacted before processing

Who it's for

Independent and commercial insurance brokers

Why it works

Broking platforms store quotes, policies and accounts; they do not read insurer wordings or write client documents, so that work still falls to the broker. A few tools now compare wordings, but the regulated paperwork is the part still done by hand: the demands-and-needs statement ICOBS requires, and the clear communications Consumer Duty now expects firms to evidence. Bind drafts those from the wordings, traces every figure to its clause for your file, and keeps a named broker checking and signing, as the FCA requires. It sits alongside the platform you already run.

Bind is being built with a first group of firms. If this is your line of work and it sounds useful, put your name down and we will be in touch.

Not sure it is a fit, or want to talk about a different bottleneck in your firm? The call is for that too. We will tell you honestly if AI is the wrong tool.
